Hispanic Scholarship Fund for California Students

Overview: 
The $5000 HSF/Citi Fellows Award is a two-year scholarship for California students residing in SF Bay Area and LA area. Student must be in his/her Junior and Senior year. Awards are disbursed during the fall.
Scholarship Requirements: 

Atleast one parent should be Hispanic.
Mixed race Hispanics may qualify.
Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a green card
Must be enrolled full-time at a four year college.
Must study Business Administration, Economics or Finance
A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

ALPFA Professional Leadership Scholarship at University of Phoenix

Overview: 
The University of Phoenix has partnered with the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) to offer a scholarship program. Ten (10) full-tuition scholarships are offered to complete a master’s degree program at University of Phoenix. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online.

Purpose: 
To support Latino students working towards their masters degree.
Scholarship Requirements: 
  1. Applicants must be a legal resident of the United States

  2. Applicants must be a professional member of ALPFA.

  3. Applicants, once enrolled, must not receive a total of 100% tuition reimbursement from any other source.

  4. Applicants must not be currently enrolled nor in the process of enrolling at any campus or in any online program at any time prior to the scholarship award date.

  5. Applicants must meet all admissions requirements of the University of Phoenix.

  6. Applicants must not be an employee or family member of an employee of Apollo Group, Inc., University of Phoenix, Western International University, Institute for Professional Development or any other subsidiary of Apollo Group, Inc.

  7. Applicants must submit a complete, signed application, together with all supporting documentation by the deadline date.

  8. Applicants must submit completed essays as described in the Essay section of the application.

Application Process: 
  1. The recipients of this scholarship are selected by the Scholarship Selection Committee consisting of representatives from University of Phoenix and/or ALPFA. Non-staff members may assist in the selection committee process.
  2. The scholarship award will be based on the Committee’s scores of the overall quality of the application and the scholarship essay.

AHETEMS Professional Scholarship

Overview: 

This is a merit-based scholarship for SHPE professionals who demonstrate significant motivation in pursuing their graduate education.

Overview: 

AHETEMS General Scholarships program offers merit-based and need-based general scholarships in the amount of $1,000 - $3,000, to qualified high school graduating seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students planning to get a degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

Overview: 

Advancing Hispanic Excellence in Technology, Engineering, Math and Science offers $5,000 merit-based scholarships to doctoral candidates,  in science, technology, engineering or mathematics and have not completed their dissertation yet.

Overview: 

GMS scholarship supports 1000 college students with personal and professional development through their leadership programs along with academic support throughout their college career.

  • has attained a cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 on an unweighted 4.0 scale or have earned a GED
  • will enroll for the first time at a U.S. located, accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student
  • has demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular or other activities
  • meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria
  • has completed and submitted all three required forms by the deadline.

Overview: 

Wal-Mart the leading retailer offers schoalrships to full-time undergraduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions on the mainland U.S. and majoring in Business Administration, General Management, Retail Management, Food Merchandising, or related majors. Students must have an interest in retail and which can be demonstrated by taking a retial job while attending school.
