Unfortunately, the bad news in the area of price protection continues. Just a few days ago we mentioned that Chase was going to discontinue price protection for its United cards. And then this morning we posted an article to debunk Five Myths for Price Protection. Bank Yogi has recently learned that Chase will discontinue its support for price protection for all the credit cards starting on August 26th, 2018. This is a bad news for Chase customers.

To make it even worse - Chase will no longer support Return protection. Consumers can no longer enjoy an extended 60-90 day return period if they make their purchase with a Chase credit card.

Alternatives to Chase Price Protection If your sole focus is price protection and you don't care about other card benefits such as price protection, a Discover Credit Card may be a good option. But if you want to get price protection as well as other benefits you should explore signing up for a non Chase MasterCard Credit Card.

You can still request a refund form both online and offline merchants if prices drop within their price match policy period. You do not need to sign up for a price protection service for that.
